Postscript Submissions
SUBMISSION PROCEDURES
We welcome submissions from academics, judges, practitioners, and law students. To submit a Response or Commentary, please e-mail the following materials to Postscript@law.usc.edu:
- An abstract under 500 words, which will appear on our website
- A current resume
- The Response or Commentary as an e-mail attachment. Microsoft Word documents preferred.
Responses and Commentaries under 3,000 words, including footnotes, are strongly encouraged. Responses and Commentaries should be lightly footnoted and follow the eighteenth edition of The Bluebook.
SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
RESPONSES: Responses are short essays which respond to an article published in the Southern California Law Review. We do not accept responses to student notes or bibliographies. We do not accept responses to articles published before January 2006.
COMMENTARIES: Commentaries are short essays which respond to legal developments and significant court decisions. We issue various calls for essays to solicit commentary responses. To view our latest call for essays, please click here. In addition, authors are free to submit commentaries on other topics.
