ATTORNEY-CPA FOUNDATION

Award Amount: $250 - $1,000
Time of Year: February
Requirements:

  • Must be entering third year of Law School
  • Demonstrated commitment to the accounting profession as evidenced by a CPA certificate
  • Evaluated based on their academic performance, leadership in the school and community and need for assistance in completing their studies

BLACK WOMEN LAWYERS ASSOCIATION OF LOS ANGELES, INC.

Award Amount: Varies

Requirements:

  • Second- and third-year students
  • Intend to practice law in Southern California
  • Selected on the basis of financial need, community service, academic achievement and legal writing ability

FOUNDATION OF THE STATE BAR OF CALIFORNIA

Requirements:

  • Must be in good academic and ethical standing at the Law School

Requirements:

  • Must be a female law student who has successfully completed at least one year of law school
  • Preference will be given to current or former residents of Fresno, Kings, Madera or Tulare counties
  • Primary considerations are academic achievement and the breadth and depth of the applicant's extra-curricular and community activities
  • Financial need and demonstrated leadership capabilities are also taken into consideration.

  • Extracurricular activities, work experience and leadership skills are also taken into consideration

  • Currently enrolled and attending law school
  • Preference will be given to promising Latino students who can demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, leadership ability, involvement in the Latino community and a relationship to California's Central Valley

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen in an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Successfully completed your first year of a full-time JD program
  • Cannot be a recipient of a similar scholarship award from another law firm
  • Ability to contribute to the diversity objectives of global law firms
  • Success in overcoming obstacles faced in choosing law as a profession
  • Academic and/or leadership achievements
