Photo Gallery: First-Year Student Mentor Lunch
More than 250 alumni and first-year students participated in USC Law's annual mentor lunch held March 2 at Town and Gown. Associate Dean John G. "Tom" Tomlinson welcomed attendees and thanked the 110 graduates who took time out of their busy schedules to "come down and share your lives with our students."
Featured speaker Jacques Soiret (pictured right), a 1967 Law School graduate, told the audience, "One thing has not changed — the networking and interaction between this Law School and its graduates. The networking at USC is just in a different class."
1L Veronica Diaz, mentee to 1932 graduate Judge Lawrence E. Drumm, agrees. "I hear that USC has a fabulous network, and I came here to indulge in that opportunity," she said. "I love meeting people who are already practicing in the field, especially those with many years of experience."
