E-Journal Locating Service

Alphabetically listed by title. Last updated on November 3, 2009.

  • All Academic - All Academic is an academic index. It is designed to provide scholars and researchers with useful on-line source information about scholarly works. Most search engines and indexes provide little, if any, information about an author, and they offer no concise source citations for easy bibliographic reference. Users are left with search results that are often obscured commercial and other trivial information. All Academic combines a database of on-line scholarly works with the flexibility of broad internet searches. The search index is designed to provide scholars and researchers with a refined set of results useful for academic pursuits. Links are direct from source citations to scholarly publications.
  • Etext Archives - An exhaustive list of electronic publications. The Etext Archives (1992-2009) are now closed, but the site lives on via the Internet Archive.
  • FindArticles.com - A vast archive of published articles that you can search for free. Constantly updated, it contains articles dating back to 1998 from more than 300 magazines and journals.
  • Lists of Newspaper & Periodical Resources on the Internet - A Library of Congress Internet Resource page.
  • New Jour - This is the archive for New Jour, the internet list for new journals and newsletters available on the Internet.
  • Search Adobe PDF Online - Now there's a way to search through more than a million summaries of Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files on the Web. Your search results will allow you to see the summaries before deciding to view the original Adobe PDF.
  • Uncle Sam Migrating Government Publications - This page produced by the Government Publications Dept. at the University of Memphis is an attempt to track printed government publications that are migrating to the Internet by identifying URLs and linking them directly to the electronic documents. The list is limited to serials and periodicals and includes publications in dual format and in electronic format only. It is arranged both alphabetically by title and by Superintendent of Documents classification number.
