David Huebner is a partner in Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, where he heads the Firm's international disputes practice and its international arbitration group. He teaches international arbitration, international business transactions, and international intellectual property courses at USC Law.
Mr. Huebner specializes in international arbitration and has represented governments and corporations in numerous arbitrations before tribunals of various arbitral institutions, including the International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration, American Arbitration Association, and Zurich Chamber of Commerce. He has lectured at several other institutions, including Tsinghua University in Beijing. He has spoken widely in the U.S., China, and Europe on international dispute resolution topics and has been named on numerous best practitioners lists, including IP Almanac (Best Lawyers), Super Lawyers, and Best Lawyers in America.
Mr. Huebner received his A.B., summa cum laude, from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He is an appointee of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Law Revision Commission and previously chaired the Commission for Governor Gray Davis. He previously served in Tokyo as special assistant to the Hon. Koji Kakizawa, member of the lower house of the Japanese Diet and former Foreign Minister of Japan.
