Brian Chase was the first attorney in the South Central Regional office of Lambda Legal in Dallas, Texas and is now based in Lambda's Western Regional office in Los Angeles. Since joining Lambda Legal, Brian has been involved in a number of cases on behalf of lesbian and gay couples, LGBT youth and people with HIV or AIDS. He is counsel in Lambda's challenge to the Oklahoma law banning recognition of out-of-state adoptions by same-sex couples was a member of the legal team that secured Lambda Legal's landmark U.S. Supreme Court victory in Lawrence v. Texas, striking down Texas's "Homosexual Conduct" law and every remaining sodomy law in the nation.

Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Brian was an associate with the New Orleans firm of King, LeBlanc & Bland. Brian received his J.D. with honors from Tulane University and his undergraduate degree in Religion from Wake Forest University.
