Dean Izuel plans six Continuing Legal Education programs at USC Law each year, recruiting respected speakers and designing cutting-edge curriculum focusing on topics such as Intellectual Property, Tax and Corporate Counsel.
Prior to coming to USC Law, Dean Izuel was an associate with the Corporate Transactions Practice Group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where she led more than 65 finance, securities and mergers and acquisitions transactions. She also was a municipal finance associate with two L.A. firms, where she represented clients including the Southern California Public Power Authority and the Cities of Anaheim, Tustin and Colton in connection with offerings of debt securities.
She received a B.A. magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles; a J.D. from UCLA School of Law; and an LL.M. in taxation from Loyola Law School. She is a member of the Los Angeles and American bar associations and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. Since 2002, she has been a pro bono attorney/corporate secretary for Harry Potter Education Fanon.
