Public Service
Public service lawyers are found in every city of America, in settings ranging from governmental agencies to civic organizations and charities, policy centers, law schools, and both large and small firms. The work of public service lawyers encompasses a broad spectrum of lawyering skills from oral advocacy to lobbying, client intake to public education. Additionally, internships and volunteer positions with public interest law organizations can offer students the opportunity to gain valuable experience and contacts within the legal community.
