- ACCESS - This site contains a variety of information on employment in non-profit organizations. It includes a database of available jobs (both legal and non-legal) that is searchable by state.
- AdvancingWomen.com - This page provides links to many women's rights organizations and extensive links to generic job banks world wide.
- Alliance for Justice - Alliance for Justice is a national association of environmental, civil rights, mental health, women's, children's and consumer organizations dedicated to the growth of public interest advocacy. Among other projects, they coordinate "First Monday", a day where students in law schools across the country focus on one particular problem.
- Amazing Environmental Organization Web Directory - As its name implies, this site lists information about environmental issues. The employment section provides addresses for about 100 environmental employers.
- Amnesty International - This site contains descriptions of job openings at Amnesty International.
- CARE - CARE is one of the world's largest private international humanitarian organizations. The site also lists internship and employment opportunities with CARE.
- Charitiesusa.com - This site lists over 400 nonprofit organizations in areas such as women's rights, environmental education, and animal rights. Some organizations allow students to volunteer on line.
- Defenders of Property Rights - For conservatives interested in public interest careers, this site is a must. It provides links to over 40 conservative advocacy groups, many with internships and job opportunities.
- Derechos Human Rights - Derechos Human Rights provides accurate and timely information on the human rights situation in Latin America and the world. It also includes several human rights mailing lists and links to other human rights web sites.
- Equal Justice Network - Provides attorney and staff job listings for public service organizations throughout the country.
- Equal Justice Works - The web site for Equal Justice Works offers information on financing a public interest education and career, student organizing, upcoming job fairs, and how to receive an Equal Justice Works fellowship award.
- The Foundation Center Job Corner - The Foundation Center's web site offers several resources to assist individuals seeking public service grants. Included among these resources are guides for drafting proposals, listings of funders, and various articles concerning philanthropy. The site also offers job listings for several nonprofit organizations and other foundations.

- HandsNet - HandsNet offers news and information to human service professionals on a variety of issues, including children, housing, hunger, immigration, and legal services.
- Human Rights Internet - This site has links to different human rights web sites on the Internet. It also offers a human rights job board and various news articles.
- Human Rights USA Resource Center - This site lists jobs, fellowships and internships with human rights organizations, as well as links to other job posting sites.
- Human Rights Watch Employment Opportunities - Links to open positions, internships, and fellowship opportunities with U.S.-based international human rights organizations dedicated to monitoring and advocacy.
- Idealist.org: Action Without Borders - Provides a database of nonprofit and community organizations which can be searched for volunteer and internship opportunities. This site provides links to organizations in over 120 countries. Many of the sites contain both internship and permanent positions with public interest organizations in virtually every issue area.

- The Institute for Humane Studies (IHS) - An independent nonprofit educational organization which supports the achievement of a freer society by assisting talented, productive students, scholars, and other intellectuals who share an interest in liberty. The IHS web site features information on its paid summer internships at public interest law firms in the Washington DC area and on its scholarships for law students.
- International Human Rights Law Group - This site offers links to job and internship opportunities for nonprofit organizations dedicated to human rights.
- Internet Nonprofit Center - This site offers offers information for and about nonprofit organizations in the United States.
- Just Advocates - This site contains a list of some private law firms in the United states that specialize in public interest cases.
- Lawyers' Committee for Human Rights - A description of jobs available at the Lawyers' Committee for Human Rights.
- Lawyers Without Borders - A good web resource for students interested in both international internships and jobs in the human rights community.
- Monday Lobby Group - This is a great site for people interested in international security issues. It provides internship information and links to major political organizations.
- National Fair Housing Advocate - This site lists positions for housing advocates and attorneys worldwide. In addition, the website provides a news archive, discussion boards, access to a case and statute database, and an agency finder which locates agencies throughout the country that are dedicated to fair housing initiatives.
- National Legal Aid and Defender Association Job Opportunities - Opportunities for law school graduates in civil legal services organizations, defender organizations, and other public interest organizations listed. Some federal government positions are also listed. The site is searchable by state.
- Netforchange.com - While primarily a site dedicated to environmental issues and resources, it has an excellent link to the Center for Campus Organizing which lists internship and other public interest job opportunities.
- Nonprofit Career Network - Nonprofit Career Network Job Resource Center is a one-stop resource for both job seekers and nonprofit organizations in the world. It offers a directory of nonprofit organizations as well as articles and a volunteer section.

- Objectivist and Free-Market Organizations - This page, sponsored by the Ayn Rand Institute, provides information about conservative think tanks and organizations. One of the organizations listed, the Center for Market Processes, offers a page which lists available positions with conservative organizations.
- OpportunityNocs.org/ - Provides access to a national job database of nonprofit job listings for administrative, staff and professional positions.
- Paladian Public Interest Links - Paladian Public Interest Links: Paladian's list includes national, state, and general public interest web sites.
- Probono.net - Probono.net is an online resource for volunteer attorneys. The site offers attorneys information on volunteering in many different practice areas and offers members online community resources, such as an online library of manuals, sample pleadings, forms and links to important reference sites. Also provided is a bulletin board, access to expert attorneys, a calendar of events and CLE trainings, and a listing of available cases.
- The Pro Bono Institute at Georgetown University Law Center - The Pro Bono Institute provides information and resources for the provision of legal services to people unable to secure legal assistance. The site provides useful information on law firm pro bono work which may be helpful for students who seek employment in a private firm with an active pro bono policy.
- PSLawNet - Permits students of membership schools, including USC, access to a database of several thousand organizations with available public service opportunities ranging from short-term, uncompensated volunteer positions during school semesters to full-time summer internships, to post-graduate jobs and fellowships. - VolunteerMatch - This site provides outstanding information on internships and volunteer opportunities nationwide. An excellent searchable resource.

- COOL - Campus Outreach Opportunity League, an AmeriCorps program, is a clearinghouse for campus-based community service efforts.
- The Corporation for National Service - The official AmeriCorps web site spotlights the different AmeriCorps programs, including two programs for lawyers, VISTA and NSLC.
- VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America) - Web site for Americorps Vista offers VISTA listings throughout the country. VISTA is a year-long program in which volunteers of all ages commit themselves to increasing the capability of low-income people to improve the conditions of their own lives.

- Children's Defense Fund - The Children's Defense Fund works to protect the nation's children.
- Lawyers for Children (LFC) - LFC provides free legal and social work services to children in New York City's foster care system. The site includes information on LFC's impact litigation and children's rights handbooks.
- National Center for Youth Law - The Center provides resources, including past publications, on children's issues.

- National Consumer Law Center - The center offers information for lawyers and the general public about consumer rights, including training dates, reports, and links to other sites.

- National Legal Aid and Defender Association - National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA) devotes its resources to advocating equal access to justice for all Americans. It offers both civil legal services and indigent defense services throughout the nation.
- The Impact Fund - This web page provides information on funding and technical assistance for class action and impact litigation on poverty, civil rights and environmental justice.
- Legal Services Corporation (LSC) - Established by Congress in 1974, LSC tries to assure that all Americans have equal access to the justice system. Their web page includes downloadable publications and other information.
- Pine Tree Legal Assistance - This web site of a Maine legal services organization includes a links page of United States legal services organizations organized by state.
- Trial Lawyers for Public Justice (TLPJ) - TLPJ litigates cases for equal justice; their web site provides information on current and past TLPJ cases and issues.

- Feminist Majority Foundation - Very inclusive site contains articles related to Domestic Violence (from its newsletter), a reading list, links and information on national domestic violence hotlines; and extensive links for domestic violence state coalitions, national organizations, and internet resources.
- Safe Horizon - A worldwide domestic violence page. Provides links to international domestic violence resources.
- U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women - Contains extensive information and links on every aspect of domestic violence, including best practice, model programs, resources for both victims and advocates, research, etc.

- National Senior Citizens Law Center - Promotes the independence and well-being of low-income elderly individuals.
- Senior Law Homepage - This web site offers senior citizens and attorneys access to information about Elder Law, Medicare, Medicaid, estate planning, and the rights of the elderly and disabled.

- National Employment Lawyers Association - This Internet resource center supports lawyers who protect employee rights. Access to this site is limited to subscribing lawyers who practice primarily employment law.

- Essential Information: Encouraging Activism - Founded in 1982 by Ralph Nader, this site offers information to the public on important topics neglected by the mass media and policy makers.
- People for the American Way - A non-profit, non-partisan organization, monitors the agenda of the Religious Right political movement through grassroots organizing, lobbying, research, public education, and legal advocacy. The web site includes news about the Religious Right movement and its effect on different issues.

- The Immigration Portal - This web site is run by a private organization and serves both as an information-sharing resource for immigration advocates and as a resource for immigrants looking for information or for a lawyer.

- Center for Law and Social Policy - This non-profit organization researches, educates and advocates others about issues that affect low-income individuals.
- Center on Budget and Policy Priorities - This research organization and policy institute reports on how government policies affect low and moderate income Americans. The site also has a directory of job listings and internship opportunities.
- Institute for Research on Poverty - One of two National Poverty Research Centers, the Institute's web site includes information about the causes and consequences of poverty in the United States.
